Macramé
Wrapped Knot
Fold 2 metre length pieces of rope through the ring.
Create a 20cm loop with the rope. Hold securely to the side.
With the longer end, wrap around the ropes.
Put the end through the loop.
Pull the top thread so that the loop disappears.
Stop pulling half way. Then trim the ends. Tuck ends in.
Box Knot
Hold the ropes so that the bottom is facing up. Split four pieces of rope into a cross.
With two opposite ropes, fold over and across the other two ropes. Hold in place.
With the rope to the right, take it over the first folded rope then under next folded rope.
With the rope to the left, take it over the first folded rope then under the next folded rope.
Your ropes should now interlock. Each rope should go over then under the next.
Pull taut. Repeat to create multiple Box Knots.
Half Knot Spiral
Number the ropes 1-4.
Move rope 1 over ropes 2 and 3, then under 4.
Move rope 4 under 2 and 3, then over 1.
Tighten. Repeat steps 1-3 to create the spiral effect.
Square Knot
Number the ropes 1-4.

Move rope 4 under 2 and 3, then over 1.
Move rope 4 under 2 and 3, then over 1.
Move rope 1 under 2 and 3, then over 1.
Tighten. Repeat steps 1-5 to create the square knot effect.

Place the 1m rope piece over the top of the wooden rod, and fold the rope around the back.
Bring the rope back up over the rod, to the right, in a diagonal direction, then back behind the rod.
