French Knot

Set your work down.

Place your needle in front of the thread. Make sure to keep the thread taut with your free hand. Wind the thread around the needle as many times as specified, still keeping the thread taut.

Insert the needle close to the initial thread. Keep thread tension to keep the wrapped thread together.

Pull the needle all the way through the fabric, fixing the wrapped thread into a knot.

Straight Stitch

Insert needle into the fabric at the specified distance.

Pull the needle through to complete a straight stitch.

Back Stitch

Insert needle into the fabric at the specified distance.

Pull the needle through to complete a starting stitch.

Bring the needle up out of the fabric at the specified distance. Insert the needle where the first stitch finished.

Repeat step 3 to create as many Back Stitches as required.

Daisy Stitch

Bring the needle up out of the fabric. Insert needle back into the fabric where the thread emerges to create a loop. Do not pull the thread all the way through.

Pull the needle up through the fabric at the top of the loop.

Insert the needle back down through the fabric at the top of the loop.

Pull the needle through to complete the stitch.
